We are down to the wire with only 12 days left before Christmas. Do you plan your stocking stuffers early or at the last minute? I start collecting things around Thanksgiving, and by the time I am ready to pack the stockings, I have gone way overboard. It is a frequent shopper hazard.
Stockings are my favorite part of Christmas. When my kids were small, I decided I did not want to ruin Christmas by stuffing their stockings full of candy and having them eat it all, get wild, and then get sick. I also don’t want to fill their stockings with useless things that will eventually end up in the landfill. So, I fill their stockings with small items they need or want: think underwear & hair clips or socks & earbuds.
As they got older, I have put some of my kid’s biggest gifts in the stocking, including a new iPhone or diamond huggies. In addition, I enjoy finding fun and unique things to fill the stockings with each year.
40+ Stocking Stuffer Ideas
Below I have compiled a list of 40+ items that would make great stocking stuffers or small gifts for anyone in your life—a couple of things worth highlighting. First, Amanda Gorman, the powerhouse former Poet Laureate of California and Inaguartion speaker, is out with her latest book. I absolutely love her, and her poetry is relevant and revealing of who we are as a society. This book makes a great stocking stuffer or stand-alone gift. Her inauguration speech, The Hill We Climb, is also available in book form.
My oldest is a freshman in college. So I know a lot of college-aged girls. Self-protection is so essential, and the She’s Birdie Personal Safety Alarm seems like a smart device to have hanging from every college girl’s backpack. On a lighter note, the Ugg Socks are by far my favorite stocking stuffer of all time. Last year, my hubby put them in my stocking, and I love them. For the rest of the list from make-up to Mandalorian, see below.
