Sephora Insiders Sale – My Picks

Sephora Insiders Sale Picks - For Women over 50

Are you a Sephora Beauty Insider yet? Now is the time to join. It is FREE to join. Sephora Insiders Sale is on now. It is a great time to stock up on the beauty items you love the most. The sale runs through August 23rd.

The sale is $20 off a $100 purchase or $15 off a $75 purchase plus FREE Shipping if you spend $35. There are some exclusions and limitations, but almost everything is on this sale. Shopping online is comfortable, and one of my favorite things about Sephora is their generous return policy. It removes the worry of trying new things. You can easily return a barely used item so long as you have the box. But to access the sale you need to sign up to be an Insider.

I have a bit of FORO! Not to be confused with FOMO, which I honestly never have. It is an introvert thing. FORO is the fear of running out of my favorite products. So, when Sephora has their sale, I stock up on everything I use daily, and I often add an item or two I want to try. These are my favorite items from Sephora.

Sephora Top Picks

  • Naked 2 Basics Palette – A versatile eyeshadow palette featuring six taupe-hued shades for everyday beauty looks. I use this palette the most of all my fancy palettes. I love the darker pink shadow and the lighter brown so much I wish they would make individual shadows in those colors.
  • Drunk Elephant C-Tango™ Multivitamin Eye Cream – A rich and restorative eye cream featuring eight peptides, five forms of vitamin C, and cucumber extract for visibly firmer, brighter-looking skin. I am devoted to this product. It immediately changed the color and texture of my undereye. Did you know the skin above your lip is similar to your undereye? I put this eye cream on my upper lip, too, in the hope of avoiding wrinkles.
  • Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer – The Natural Light Bronze is the only bronzer light enough for my fair skin. I’ve tried other brands, but I look painted. It has a matte finish with a natural glow.
  • Tweezerman Pink Perfection Slant Tweezers – It is no secret Tweewerman is the best. I love these because they are pink, so I can instantly tell who “borrowed” my tweezers.
  • Sephora 12hr Colorful Contour Eyeliner – at only $11, this is the best eyeliner for the price. The colors are amazing and long-lasting. Available in matte, shimmer, and glitter finish for every possible look. I use the Tiramisu – Brow regularly, but I am feeling the T-Rex for something new.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Magic Setting Powder – This light-diffusing, loose powder helps mattify and smooth the appearance of the skin. It is made from an alternative ingredient to talc that absorbs excess oil from the surface, creating a matte appearance. After years of devotion to Bobbi Brown, her powder no longer worked for my aging skin. I picked up this powder on a whim and was amazed at the difference. Sorry, Bobbi. I’m never going back. This powder is one of my FORO products for sure though the tub lasts forever!
  • Youth to the People Adaptogen Deep Moisturizing Cream – A hydrating moisturizer with superior plant extracts and a pro-grade peptide complex formulated for dry, reactive, and sensitive skin. I forgot my regular moisturizer on a trip to NYC, and I stopped in the Sephora. The wonderfully helpful salesperson recommended this moisturizing cream, and I have been hooked ever since.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk – This lipstick is universally flattering! It looks great on all skin tones. The texture is creamy, and it leaves your lips feeling hydrated, not dried out.
  • Dr. Dennis Gross All-In-One Cleanser with Toner – The deep-cleansing formula removes impurities and pollutants, and then rinses clean leaving skin soft, but never tight or dry. Free of Parabens, Sulphates, and Phthalates. This product has been my everyday cleanser for more than ten years. An esthetician recommended to me at Miraval Spa, and I have been using it ever since.
  • Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask with Vitamin C – An overnight mask that thoroughly hydrates, plumps, and brightens with THD ascorbate (vitamin C), antioxidant-rich super berries, squalane, and hyaluronic acid. This creamy moisturizer leaves my skin feeling fabulous. I fell in love with their daily moisturizing cream (see above), so I picked this up during their last Insider Sale. So glad I did!
  • IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ – Inspired my recent finds, I decided to try this highly recommended foundation. Again, Bobbi Brown wasn’t working as well for me as I aged. Of course, I decided to try it during quarantine and I wasn’t sure what the right color would be for me. Luckily, Sephora has this handy dandy matching tool. I just put in the brand and color of foundation that I currently use and Sephora gave me the corresponding match. This foundation is a color-correcting, full-coverage foundation with SPF 50 physical mineral sunscreen that delivers a flawless, natural finish. With this discovery, I am questioning all of my beauty products. I am testing them again new products made with new technology and I am only keeping what I love.
  • Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta® Extra Strength Daily Peel – A patented two-step anti-aging AHA/BHA peel pad pre-dosed with seven acids to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, pores, and shine. I have used this product off and on for years. Every time I venture away to try something new, I end up back with this great product.

The Ordinary

I didn’t include any of The Ordinary products on my list because they are rarely in stock. The Ordinary is an evolving collection of treatments offering familiar, effective clinical technologies, fairly priced, and promoting integrity in skincare. There are so many fabulous products in their skincare line. My favorite so far is the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + Haspheres 2%. Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant, and its pure form of l-ascorbic acid has shown to improve multiple signs of skin aging while brightening the skin. If you find them in stock, snap them up!
