I am a skeptic at heart. I question pretty much everything. Turns out I am also a creature of habit and once I settle on something, it takes a lot for me to move on. It is easy to get stuck in a rut when your stubborn – because the combo of skeptical and creature of habit = stubborn.
Recently, I decided I needed to upgrade my beauty products. The foundation that worked 15 years ago wasn’t serving my aging skin. Hell, with all the advancements of the last twenty years surely make up has improved. Turns out that is very true. Make up, along with everything else has advanced.
So I upgraded my foundation (will tell you more later) and I took advise from Tik Tok and ordered a primer. I decided on the Poreless Mattifying Primer by Tarte. Gen X is right, a primer really does help smooth your complexition. It also helps prevent your foundation from settling in fine lines and wrinkles (something Gen X knows nothing about yet). I found that you need far less foundation to get the coverage you want when you use primer first.

Not only was Poreless the best primer I tried but it is also fragrance free which is a must for me. Too much scent just gives me a headache.
