Leather joggers were my first thought when the trend started taking off. I’ve wanted faux leather joggers for several years. Being tall, finding joggers that don’t fit like knickers proved tricky.
Then researching the other leather trend posts, I came across the perfect pair. The reviews even mentioned how perfect they are for us tall girls. So after years of searching, I found exactly what I was looking for in the Michael Kors Faux Leather Joggers. These joggers are slim cut and look just like real leather at a fraction of the cost.
Why have I been so obsessed with finding leather joggers, you may ask. Because! Not only are they comfortable but they are perfect for so many outfits both casual and dressy.

Leather Jogger + Tee + Denim Shirt
You can substitute faux leather joggers for your standard jogger so easily. I wear joggers as an alternative to jeans. They are perfect for running errands, shopping with friends or any part of your everyday routine. Faux Leather joggers are perfect for cold weather or rain. They instantly fashion up (definitely a technical term) any outfit. With faux leather joggers, you are ready for lunch with friends or a casual dinner with your special someone.

Leather Jogger + Sweatshirt + Denim Jacket
When the weather cools down, swap your denim shirt for a cropped sweatshirt and add your favorite denim jacket for warmth. I am wearing this outfit with sneakers because I am sneaker obsessed and I will pick sneakers over most any other type of shoe, any day but you can easily swap sneakers for booties or cute flats for a little less casual look. I also love this look with a graphic sweatshirt or my favorite camo hoodie.

This could seriously be my winter uniform. It is beyond comfortable and will easily keep you warm. I am wearing with a grey waffle knit sweater from Madewell. Any plain sweater or turtleneck will do. I would avoid the statement sweaters that are popular this season to prevent looking too much like Sinbad in A Different World. If you aren’t familiar with the reference, basically, statement sweater + joggers = 80’s Rerun!

I am a fan of the push & pull of opposites in fashion. The lace blouse smooths the hard edge of the faux leather joggers. This outfit is perfect for a night out with the girls or a special date with your SO. I am a fan of long sleeve blouses for evening’s out. I am perpetually cold and therefore prefer my arms covered at night. The blouse from J.Crew is so versatile. I have worn it with jeans or under a suit. It comes in pink as well which is a pretty, yet daintier, option.

Feminine Top + Joggers + Heeled Boots
Even though a patterned sweater + joggers is a fashion miss, joggers with a feminine blouse is all sorts of hit! Thejuxtaposition of edgy and feminine just works. The opposites smooth each other out. Does that make sense? It does in my head. What I mean is, too much of any one style (edgy or feminine) can easily look costumish, but by pairing these opposites together, the look is fashion forward and balanced.

These joggers will end up in heavy rotation this winter should our weather choose to cooperate. Honestly, I am a bit envious of those of you who live with real seasons. Luckily, I travel a fair amount and I get a good reminder why I should be grateful for our “boring” CA weather.
I think I have exhausted the leather trend options for this year. As a long time fan of leather, I am excited by all the great options out there right now. Spring will offer a whole new crop of leather goods to covet with colorful leather featured on a ton of runways.
