Things didn’t work out for my weekly The Tea article last week. I was preparing for an actual tea, in celebration of my impending 50th birthday. I’ve got all sorts of crazy mixed emotions surrounding this milestone. Putting my thoughts and emotions about turning 50 down on paper has proved difficult. They just come out like a jumbled mess but somehow the process is still soothing. It is possible I need to pass to the other side of fifty to get clarity or, maybe, that is what growing older is all about. Settling into who you are, regardless of whether or not you’ve figured it all out.
Every year, my birthday weekend coincides with Veteran’s Day and I am gifted a three day weekend. This year, I was dually gifted with the start of the Nordstrom Fall Sale formerly known as the Half-Yearly. There is no sale like a Nordstrom sale. Am I right? There are just so many good things….But, shop soon. Sale ends November 17th.
