Three White T-Shirts You Need In Your Closet<\/h2>\n

It is hard to write a post on your basic white t-shirt without sounding cliche.\u00a0 There is likely no more iconic American apparel item than the plain white t-shirt. It can be simultaneously utilitarian and sexy. It is unlikely you will find a closet in the U.S. without one. Add a plain white tee to anything and voila instant effortless style.\u00a0 So why is it so difficult to find a good one? Every retailer offers their version of a white tee but so many are just so bad! We can take the first ever photo of a black hole (did you see that?) but somehow it is really difficult to make a white tee that isn’t see through.<\/p>\n

I am always on the hunt for good t-shirts. All colors of t-shirts feature prominently in my summer style. A good tee is just so easy and offers endless styling opportunities. Just google search white t-shirt styling and you will see what I mean. Honestly, you’d be hard pressed to find something you can’t wear with a white tee.<\/p>\n

White Tee Research<\/h2>\n

For this article I googled the history behind the white tee. Of course, something so imbedded in our culture has a long and controversial past. If you are interested, this is a great article on the history of the white tee<\/a>.\u00a0 We all have a vision of someone cool wearing a white tee. Mine is definitely James Dean. I had his poster on my wall as a teenager. He embodied effortless cool. Of course, that resulted in years of being attracted to bad boys, but I digress and that is a story for another time. Lucky for me, I ended up falling in love and marrying the nicest guy.<\/p>\n

In the past, I always wanted a tee with some stretch. Now, not so much! I prefer a tee to drape nicely and avoid hugging my belly. Because I have a large chest, I prefer a scoop neck or v-neck tee.\u00a0 I also think a standard crew neck is a must for any closet. Luckily, I have found three great white t-shirts that I wear all the time.<\/p>\n

The AG Henson Tee<\/h2>\n

First up is the AG Jeans Henson Tee<\/a>. I love this tee so much, I pick it up in every color they make. This tee has a perfect scoop neck and is made of 100% pima cotton jersey. There is a center seam down the back of the tee which adds a great stylized element. The tee has an easy, relaxed fit. It is pricey at $78 but I think it is worth every penny. I am wearing a Medium.<\/p>\n
