Fall Sneaker Trends 2019<\/h2>\n

Have you seen the meme where one dog is talking to another dog and says, “Why do humans never say ‘a boat’ when asked what three things they would want with them on a deserted island?” It is funny because my list never includes a boat even though it is most logical. The other thing we silly humans assume is that we are left there with clothes. However, it is highly unlikely our shoes would make it. Sneakers probably wouldn’t be the best choice if only given three choices but I definitely would prefer not to be left to traipse around a deserted island without a comfortable pair of shoes.<\/p>\n

Heck! Don’t leave me anywhere without a comfortable pair of sneakers. My jungle is decidedly more urban but the need for cozy kicks is no less important. Sneakers are my obsession and my closet reflects my passion. From back in day when I only had a couple pairs, one for running, one for cross training and one for “good”, my collections is now topping 30 pair. The rise of the fashion sneaker is one of those rare moments where form meet function and I for one am all in. Luckily for us, the sneaker trend isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Bye Ugly Sneaker<\/h2>\n

There are subtle shifts in design each season with the exception of the “ugly” sneaker trend most changes are small. The dad or “ugly” sneaker trend really changed things up and ushered in a lot of different options in design and comfort. Though fashion girls world wide embraced the trend most of us in the suburbs took subtle nods to it instead of jumping in fool force. But if you did go all in, it is time to put your dad sneakers on the shelf for more understated chunky sole options. This season the lug sole or hiking inspired sneaker is huge in the fashion world but time will tell if the trend trickles down to the rest of us in the real world. If you are looking to rock this trend, the majority of options are from designers like Chloe, Gucci and Prada. There are a couple great options from Converse<\/a> if you are looking for an affordable choice.<\/p>\n

Return to the Classic<\/h2>\n

This season your classic white sneakers are definitely on trend. It honestly doesn’t matter if your brand is Adidas, Nike, Reebok or New Balance. Pick up your favorite, classic white sneaker and wear them with everything from suits (see how I styling a suit<\/a>) to dresses and everything in between. The good news is, most of us have a great pair of classic white sneakers in our closet. The bad news is, if you let them get in disrepair, it is time for a new pair. If you are going with the classic brands the “never worn” look is what you want. Of course, Golden Goose has created its own trend of “well-worn” sneakers and has some great classic styles.<\/p>\n
