Spring is here, and Sephora is celebrating with the biggest event of the year, the Insider Savings Event. Sephora Insiders save up to 20% on their purchase. The event starts April 1st for Rouge-level members, April 4/5 for VIB, and 4/7 for all Insiders. To become an Insider is free. Just head to Sephora.com and click Beauty Insider.
I use this sale to stock up on my favorite products and try out new products every year. Sephora’s return policy is impressive, allowing me to try new items and return them if they don’t work out. However, I keep this practice to a minimum as they must trash all returned items. Nevertheless, it has saved me some cash over the years when a product made me itch or smelled too strong.
Being 50+, my beauty needs skew to maintaining a youthful look. I want quality skincare and makeup that works for my super sensitive skin and helps slow aging. Right now, I am struggling with my hair. It has lost so much volume and shine over the last few years, so I am testing out new products to help it grow stronger and healthier. When it comes to makeup, I want easy-to-use no-fuss products. My makeup routine needs to stay at 10 minutes tops. See all my top picks in makeup, skincare, and haircare below.
I am a VIB member, so I will be shopping on the 5th. I have already primed my cart with all the items I want and will check out soon as my turn comes. You can sign up as an Insider anytime to receive the sale benefits.

Sephora Insider Sale Picks
Make-Up Picks
- Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter – I am obsessed with this product. It is a complexion booster that blurs, smooths, and illuminates for a real-life filter effect. I wear it alone often. Charlotte Tilbury is by far my new favorite brand discovered after trying her products during another Sephora sale.
- Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour – I am pretty pale, and the lighter shade of this bronze & glow doesn’t make me look orange. I use this instead of blush most days.
- Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick – This lipstick is universally flattering! It looks great on all skin tones. The texture is creamy, and it leaves your lips feeling hydrated, not dried out.
- Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift Refillable Eyebrow Pencil – I recently picked up this eyebrow pencil after years of using Glossier Boy Brow. I love Boy Brow, but it just doesn’t last very long. The CT pencil is refillable (earth-friendly), which seems like a great idea. I now know why my mom never left the house without penciling in her brow. As you age, somehow, your eyebrows disappear. A good pencil helps reshape and color them.
- Fenty Beauty Match Stix Contour Sticks – I am not sold on contouring yet. But I am willing to try it, and Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty has so many fabulous shades, even one to work on my fair skin.
- IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ – Inspired by my recent finds, I decided to try this highly recommended foundation. Bobbi Brown wasn’t working as well for me as I aged. So, I decided to try it during quarantine, and I wasn’t sure what the right color would be for me. Luckily, Sephora has this handy dandy matching tool. I just put in the brand and color of the foundation that I currently use, and Sephora gave me the corresponding match. This foundation is a color-correcting, full-coverage foundation with SPF 50 physical mineral sunscreen that delivers a flawless, natural finish. With this discovery, I am questioning all of my beauty products. I am testing again new products made with new technology, and I am only keeping what I love.
- ILIA Multi-Stick Cheek & Lip – Have you seen the ads on TikTok or Instagram for this product? I am definitely picking it up on sale to try. I love multi-purpose products. If I switch to cream contour, I need to switch to a cream blush.
- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow Stick – I wear makeup almost every day, but I don’t want to be spending hours applying it. An eyeshadow stick is perfect for the lazy beauty babe. You can layer with other eye shadows or wear them alone. It is a quick way to add a bit of shimmer to your eyelid.
- Sephora 12 Hour Contour Eyeliner – at only $11, this is the best eyeliner for the price. The colors are unique and long-lasting. Available in matte, shimmer, and glitter finish for every possible look. I use the Tiramisu – Brow regularly, but I am feeling the T-Rex for something new.
Skincare Picks
- Drunk Elephant C-Tango™ Vitamin C Eye Cream – A rich and restorative eye cream featuring eight peptides, five forms of vitamin C, and cucumber extract for visibly firmer, brighter-looking skin. I am devoted to this product. It immediately changed the color and texture of my undereye. Did you know the skin above your lip is similar to your undereye? So I put this eye cream on my upper lip, too, to avoid wrinkles.
- Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow – An overnight mask that thoroughly hydrates, plumps, and brightens with THD ascorbate (vitamin C), antioxidant-rich super berries, squalane, and hyaluronic acid. This creamy moisturizer leaves my skin feeling fabulous. I fell in love with their daily moisturizing cream, so I picked this up during their last Insider Sale. So glad I did!
- The Ordinary Buffet Anti-Aging Serum – It is hard to believe the price of The Ordinary products. The quality is fantastic, and the products are affordable for everyone. Buffet is a multi-peptide, lightweight, water-based serum that targets multiple signs of visible aging and is great for those looking for solutions for signs of aging and supporting visibly healthy skin.
- The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% – I regularly use this silicone-free Vitamin C suspension under my moisturizer. Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant, and its pure form of l-ascorbic acid has been shown to improve multiple signs of skin aging while brightening the skin.
Haircare Picks
- Vegamour GRO Hair Serum for Thinning Hair – My hair has always been a problem but over the last couple years, I lost so much hair that I turned to extensions. The extensions caused even more damage and now I am looking for ways to help prevent hair loss. Vegamour has hundreds of happy customers. So I decided to give it a try. It is too soon to tell but I will definitely let you know.
- Vegamour GRO Revitalizing Shampoo – Because I am an all-or-nothing kinda girl, I went all in. I bought the Shampoo & Conditioner to try as well.
- Vegamour GRO Revitalizing Conditioner – See comments above. I really hope this works for me.
- T3 Lucea ID 1″ Flatiron – I use good flat iron to add curls. Invest in the best flat iron you can. All heat tools are damaging but the better quality irons are made to lessen damage. This flatiron has 9 heat settings that automatically adjust to your hairs needs.
- T3 Cura Luxe Ionic Hair Dryer – My hair is curly but only in places. It prevents me from wearing it curly. So a good blow dryer is important. I love my T3 hairdryer.
