It’s Here! The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale
Nordstrom is the queen of sales. King of sales? Is a store feminine or masculine? I don’t know. Nordstrom is the pinnacle! That is for sure and since I am a women and I am writing for women, I am going to say queen like Queen Sansa. But really Queen Sansa should be queen of the Seven Kingdoms not just the Queen of the North. Am I right? Serious spoiler…be warned….Bran on the throne? Why? Just why? Would have been so hard to keep with the strong women theme and have at least one women end up on top who isn’t evil or crazy? So this week I have been drowning my GoT sorrows in shopping. Good thing the mother of all sales (ah! There it is.) starts tomorrow.
So with no GoT finale anticipation left, I can put all my energy into the Memorial days sales. The Nordstrom Half Yearly sales starts today and so much good stuff is on sale! Here are my picks.

- My Free People Front Tie top pictured above is on sale and is perfect with all thing summer! Wear it with shorts, wide leg crops or over a dress. It is easy and breezy and perfect for a little added coverage in summer.
- My Pam & Gela Stripe Dress is also on sale. I love a good t-shirt dress and this one has a wonderful combination of pink and blue.
- My booties in the picture are Vince but I love the rag & bone one’s better and they are on sale. I have them in black but I want the tan. They are the perfect heal height and beyond comfortable.
- The Madewell Emmett Button Front Crops are also on sale. Don’t be afraid. Wide leg crops are awesome for everyone! They are perfect for summer especially for those of you who don’t like to sport shorts. The wide leg is cooling like a skirt but offers the flexibility of a pant.
- There are several eyelet tops on sale including this one from Madewell which I also bought and this one from J.Crew. I like eyelet in black because it adds an edge to this super feminine fabric.
- Another favorite of mine is on sale. These great J.Crew Camo Straight Leg Cargo Pants. They have a hint of pink which is a nice departure from the brown and black camouflage you see most other places.
- One of my three favorite tees is on sale! The AG Jeans Hensen tee has a perfect scoop neck and added back seam for style and Halogen Check Pants I am wearing are also on sale. There is a double breasted blazer that matches if you want a summer suit. I am considering it.
- There are several great Denim Jackets on sale including my Madewell Denim Jacket and my new favorite the Madewell Patch Pocket Chore Coat. A denim jacket is a must have for every closet and this year the sale has several at all price points.
- As always there is a great selection of DENIM including Re/Done Low Slung Crops which is a fun take on the 90’s jean trend, a trend I think will just grow bigger over the summer and into fall.
- Tried and true favorites like the AG Farrahs and the PAIGE Vintage Hoxton. I love the wash on these jeans for summer. Also on sale are my beloved rag & bone Dre in this fabulous aged grey color.
- The AG Caden trousers are also on sale. I love these pants and I recently picked them up in a great khaki green. I have them in black and tan. They are beyond comfortable. They pack and travel easily!
