How to Wear Spring Trends Now – Beige

Spring Trend Now, Spring Trend 2019Spring Trends Now and Later – Beige

I suspect that about now we are all ready for winter to end and for spring to arrive. Maybe it is the polar vortex that descended on the middle of our country, or maybe it is the spring styles hitting the shelves of our favorite stores, but by February it feels as though winter has gone on way too long. About now, I start to look to spring fashion as a way to raise my spirits and peak my imagination until the warm weather returns. Of course, I am an impulsive one, so when I buy something good, I really want to wear it now, like, right now! This got me thinking I should do a couple posts on how to wear spring trends now and later.

Earth Tone – Monochromatic Dressing

First up, for spring trends now, monochromatic dressing in shades of beige. There is something classic about this trend as it never really goes out of style. A simple way to feel instantly pulled together is to dress from head to toe in a certain color. But the spring runways were chock full of looks with amazing earth tones from the red rocks of Sedona to the creamy sands of Mexico. The trick this season is to add layers and dimension by mixing fabrics like leather and silk, or tweed and knit. Top it off with your favorite trench and you are good to go.

Wardrobe Update Spring Trend

To work this look into my wardrobe, I purchased the AG Farrah’s in Sulphur Burnt Almond (super cool color name). I am a huge fan of the Farrah jeans and their consistent fit and wear. My new beige pair is no exception. The other great thing about these pants is, that as a girl with long legs, the inseam hits at a perfect crop for ankle boots or sandals. But with no specific distressing they can be hemmed easily for those more petite.

Spring Trend Now

For winter, I styled my Farrah’s with a chunky cream sweater from J.Crew. I love J.Crew’s supersoft yarn sweaters and this oversized crew neck is no exception, my suede moto jacket from Gap and my Michael Kors slouchy sued boots(similar). For a girl who usually only pairs tan with black this felt a bit out of my comfort zone but it looks fresh and definitely on trend.

Add a Scarf

I also tried a head-to-toe tan look adding a Burberry scarf for some dimension. A great animal print scarf would work well too. The sweater is my from J.Crew, which I picked up earlier this fall and showed you how I styled it four ways. I added my Gucci loafers for a decidedly preppy feel but one that feel effortless and chic.

Spring Trends Later

There are a ton of great ways to wear the tan Farrah’s for spring and beyond. As the weather warms, dark denim begins to feel too heavy. Adding a tan pair to your rotation is just the added boost any spring wardrobe can use. For spring I paired my Farrah’s with a simple off-white t-shirt and my favorite slip on kicks from M.Gemi. I just purchased yet another pair in this fabulous luggage color that is perfect for spring. I am quite obsessed with this color leather right now. I am on the search for the perfect sandals in a similar color. I will let you know what I find.

Next, I tried the Farrah’s with this cream lace top from Banana Republic I purchased several years ago (similar). I love the simple cut of this top with the quality lace overlay. This is my favorite of all the outfits and I am sure I will be rockin’ this look soon as the temps return to our SoCal norm, of sunny and ’70. There are so many wonderful ways to wear these on trend pants for Spring. How will you be incorporating the beige trend into your wardrobe this spring?

Next up, I am tackling the tie-dye look. And yes, I definitely thing Dahlias can wear this look too.
