The first place I look for party outfits is Anthropologie. They have a well-curated collection of items and I often find exactly what I am looking for there. This holiday season, Anthropologie is killing it! Like, I wish I had more holiday events to go to because I want all the pretty things, killing it.
In my opinion, the best items for the holidays are separates. With a few quality pieces, you can build so many fabulous looks. Separates make it easier to build both casual and dressy, party options. My go-to holiday look this year is centered around this pretty top. But I recently picked up these fabulous velvet joggers and realized they to would be a great base for a holiday outfit.

Party-Worthy Tops From Anthro
The fun velvet joggers will look perfect with all the sequin and shiny tops. Add your favorite booties or heels and you’re ready for anything. My personal preference when buying sequins is to look for a garment that is finished on both sides especially for special occasions. When the garment only has sequins on the front then it is more of a casual look.
Beautiful Bottoms From Anthro
Another fun separates option is a skirt. Anthro has some amazing skirts this season. The Fleur Maxi Skirt is just stunning. You are destined for hundreds of compliments in that skirt. Truly gorgeous and not overtly holiday. But, Anthropologie has a ton of other amazing skirts and pants that are perfect for the holidays. I mentioned the velvet joggers but I also purchased the Essential Slim Trousers in velvet in both black and red. They are a holiday staple that will never go out of style. The pants come in petite and tall and I opted for the tall.
Over the years, I have collected party pieces and added them to my closet. By sticking with classic cuts and quality details, I can wear the items for years. I have two skirts, one silver sequin and one silver brocade that I wear year after year. They are perfect for the holidays and the style is timeless. I switch up the tops, shoes, and bags to make new and interesting looks each year.

Dazzling Dresses From Anthro
Are dresses more your style? Anthro has some great dresses for the season. I love the one-and-done aspect of dresses and jumpsuits. A dress skews more formal to me so if you have a truly formal function maybe one of these amazing dresses will work for you. Since I am always cold, I prefer long sleeve dresses to sleeveless for winter. So most of my dresses picks are long sleeve.
