I have been a follower of fashion as long as I can remember. At ten, I begged for a subscription to Seventeen Magazine which my mom thought was too sexualizing of women. About five years ago, I started reading fashion blogs and following fashion influencers on Instagram. I know a little late to the party. Then, after reading and following, I realized, I could do that and StyleDahlia was born.
There are still several blogs I read religiously because the writing is so good or because their style matches closely to mine. I follow a bunch of influencers online to help inspire me. Because, I spend so much time online, it is inevitable that I will eventually be swayed into trying things I see.
Of course, the reason blogs and influencers are so successful is a result of the followers who trust their opinions. My goal as a blogger is to build trust with my readers and recommend only products, I would actually use. That means you won’t see any sponsored posts for perfume because I am allergic to almost every scent. However, if I find a scent that works for me I will definitely share it.
I tend to read blogs and take advice from people who also subscribe to this type of integrity. So it is no surprise, I have found some great items as a result of recommendations from influencers.

Golden Goose Sneakers
I am starting with shoes because I am truly obsessed with these sneakers. You all know I am a sneaker addict; so when some of my fav influencers started showing up with the pre-distressed, bling sneakers, I was definitely intrigued. I finally took the plunge after seeing the GGDB Leopard Glitter sneakers on Seersucker + Saddle blog and reading the GGDB review by Fashion Jackson. The slightly elevated heel inside the shoe ultimately sold me on these clearly expensive sneakers. As someone with foot issues, a small heel is better than flat any day.
The great thing is that they come in so many amazing styles. You can definitely find one to fit your style and personality. Every time I wear a pair, I get a ton of compliments. My collection of sneakers is every-growing and now my closet is filling with GGDB. You won’t be disappointed. These are great shoes!

Anine Bing
Anine Bing is a model, turned influencer, turned fashion designer. I not sure where I first learned of her clothing but I am so glad I did. Anine Bing offers luxurious staples, wardrobe basics and of-the-moment pieces of the highest quality. Personally, the soft yet edgy look appeals to me.
I first tried one of her graphic tees which are by far the best quality tee in my closet. The cotton is thick and luxurious. Eventually, I ventured into her sweaters, blazers and dresses. I am now an Anine Bing devotee. I love her clothes and the quality is crazy good! Below I am wearing her red leopard sweater from last winter.
My one complaint is, her clothes are made for skinny women like Anine Bing herself and therefore I have found several pieces that even in Large just won’t fit me. I would love to see her sizing be more inclusive. I wear a size 8 most of the time, which is smaller than the average and if I am sized out of her fabulous clothes then so is much of the market.

BlankNYC Suede Jacket
You can’t browse Instagram without seeing this jacket on a ton of the fashion influencers. Because so many influencers recommend it, I was instantly skeptical. I know, crazy right? I am, at my core, a skeptic. I question everything. However, I kept seeing so many cute outfits featuring this suede jacket that eventually I decided to try it for myself.
The jacket is the perfect weight for fall. It comes in a ton of colors and is even available on Amazon. I ordered mine from Revolve Clothing because they had the color I wanted. I’m a sucker for a good moto style jacket and this one is definitely amazing. The color I am wearing is Sand Stoner and it is a subtle tan with grey undertones. I plan to do a post on styling this jacket because it is a wonderfully versatile piece everyone should have in their closet.
Again the sizing runs small. I am wearing a large which I would normally buy in fitted jackets but I debated going up to the XL. BlankNYC does offer extended sizes in several of their suede jackets. I highly recommend sizing up if you have a large bust. I can zip this jacket but barely. Ha!

Everlane
If you read StyleDahlia regularly, you know that I love Everlane. My first major article was styling their super popular trench coat. Everlane relies solely on internet marketing. They have four boutiques across the country but their primary business is online. I am an Everlane fanatic now.
Everlane focuses on exceptional quality sourced from ethical factories with radical transparency. What does that mean for the consumer? You know when you buy from Everlane, you are getting high quality clothes at a reasonable price and you can feel good about those prices because the products are manufactured in factories with high environmental and employee standards.
My closet overflows with Everlane items including this oversized blazer below. I have yet to try their shoes but people rave about them online. Their 100% cotton sweaters are some of my favorites for CA’s warm winters.
