Anthro Sale Sale Picks

Anthro Day is Here Again…somehow I can’t say that without singing it. Maybe that is because an Anthropologie sale just makes me happy. Or maybe it is because my mother had C.R.U.Z. radio playing 24/7 in our kitchen, all the oldies but goodies and they are permanently stuck in my head. No wonder I prefer the sound of silence most of the time, in my home. See what I did there? An Anthro sale is definitely something to celebrate.

This weekend 8/23 – 25 take up to 30% off items at Anthropologie. I am currently working on a story about Fall Transitional Dresses and I put that on the back burner to bring you my picks from the Anthro Sale. However, many of my dress picks are from Anthro because Anthropologie just has the best dresses. Am I right?

Dress Picks

How cute is this Faithfull La Falaise Midi Dress? I am wearing a Large in this dress.  Faithfull the Brand runs small especially in the bust. An XL, would have provided for a little more modesty on top. The print is beautiful. It is described as “purple motif” but it really is a mix of lavenders, peach and yellows. The print is understated and doesn’t overwhelm.

The Coterie Embroidered Tunic is another great dress from Anthropologie. They always nail the details and this dress is no exception. It has a pretty ribbon bib at the neckline which is mirrored on the skirt. I am wearing a medium. My one complaint about this dress is that the slip (yes, I am happy there is a slip included) is extremely large. Unless, I shortened the slip straps all the way, the slip would show at the bottom. I plan to just abandon the slip all together and use my Commando Tailored Stretch Slip. I read all of the reviews and no one else seemed to have this problem so maybe an XL slip was mixed in with my Medium dress which could happen since the slip is not actually attached.

Hopefully, my recent slip dress purchase from CAMI NYC will be included on the sale. I love this slip dress so much. Of course, slip dresses are one of fall’s biggest dress trends. My recent post on How To Style a Slip Dress  gives you several ideas on how to style this versatile dress.

Tops Picks

Anthropologie is known for their statement making tops. I love the boho vibe of this Miranda Striped Blouse by Velvet. It is a perfect transition piece for fall. Wear it now with shorts and into the fall with jeans and boots.

Bottom Picks

I definitely shouldn’t be looking at jeans because I have so many. However, the AG Slim Boyfriend Light Wash jeans from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale sold out before I could buy them. I have been coveting them ever since. So I plan to pick them up on the Anthropologie sale. The Dallas Carpenter Joggers are also on sale and I get so many compliments every time I wear these pants. They are a perfect deep red for fall.

 

Favorite Jumpsuit

My favorite jumpsuit from blog post Jumpsuits – The Perfect Outfit is from Anthropologie. It comes in black and turquoise which is really a beautiful teal and can easily be worn a multitude of ways. The Bionda Plisse Jumpsuit is the perfect outfit. One and done! It is so easy.

Art From Anthro

I am obsessed with Anthropologie’s art offerings. Good art has character and dimension and I fill my home with pieces that speak to me and I often find them at Anthro. My art preferences lean toward strong feminine qualities but I temper that with black and white abstracts. I am no expert at picking art but I really don’t think you need to be. The easiest way to add personality to your home is to pick art that you like. Who cares what others think, they don’t live in your house. Buy art that you enjoy. A great time to pick up their art is on Anthro Day during the sale. My favorites below including a couple I already own and a couple I have been coveting for a while.
