The holiday season officially kicks off this week. The last vestiges of summer are long gone. Halloween was a bust. Now we can focus on the joy of the holidays. I have to admit, I usually won’t put up my tree until after Thanksgiving, but this year, I plan to do it before my birthday (next week). Gasp! The shock! The horror!
‘Tis The Season
Actually, I am not sure why I don’t put it up early every year. Christmas is a special time, and why not enjoy it for as long as possible. Probably because it feels like a slippery slope to year-round Christmas decorations. Don’t you think? However, every year one of my favorite things is to take down the decorations and get back to the clutter-free home, I love. So I doubt I am in any danger of living with clutter. Well, except for the clutter generated by my husband and kids.
One of my other favorite things about the holidays is finding the perfect gift for my friends and family. I know it can be stressful, but when you find the perfect thing it is so satisfying because you know it will bring your loved one joy. Obviously, not everyone feels that way.
