There is no good reason, I purchased jeans this Black Friday selling season. It really is becoming a season with sales starting long before Black Friday and extending on through Cyber Monday. The problem is I love jeans and I am always excited by new washes and cuts. Denim just keeps getting better and I want to try all the new options.
In my defense (just in case my husband reads the post) the sales are crazy good this year, so stocking up on your favorite essentials is kinda smart. Because I am a denim addict, I decided to compose a list of the 10 best pairs of jeans to buy on sale now! Some are my goto pairs of workhorse denim and a few are pairs I just recently bought and love!

1. rag & bone/JEAN Rosa Mid-Rise Boyfriend Jean
I just received them in my Shopbop order and I am obsessed. They may displace my r&b Dre’s as my favorite boyfriend jeans. The wash is the perfected faded black and the distressing is definitely cool. I love that the knee distressing is actually just a darker denim patch meaning you can easily wear these through the winter. I ordered a 29 because these days I prefer my jeans looser but I think the 28 will be better so I ordered this morning. These come in blue too and I had to have both.

2. AG Harper Slim Straight Jeans
You know I love AG jeans. They are some of my most worn pairs. They consistently make comfortable jeans regardless of cut. For something new, I tried the slim straight jeans. I am looking for a pair that works well with booties and these are perfect. They aren’t on sale currently but Nordstrom is having holiday rewards. So if you spend $125 you get $25, spend $250 get $50 or spend $400 get $100 to spend in January. They come in two washes and I bought the lighter wash.
3. Moussy Vintage Vienna Tapered Jeans
If you want to discover new and exciting denim brands, Shopbop is a great place to start. Moussy Vintage is a Japanese based denim brand that launched in the US in 2016. Moussy Vintage has some of the best vintage-style washes available. I love the cut of these jeans. I have been wanting to buy a pair but the price has stopped me in the past. With the Shopbop sale, I decided to give them a try. Most Moussy Vintage jeans are high rise but the Vienna is a mid-rise which I prefer. My one worry is that they might be too short on me. Shopbop recommends sizing up as they run small.
4. 7 For All Mankind Ankle Skinny Jean
Seven’s were my first pair of designer jeans back in the day. Back then, I couldn’t believe I spent $135 on a pair of jeans. After their initial success, the brand faded but in the last several years have been back with a vengeance. I have been pretty loyal through it all. Seven’s have been in my closet since that first pair way back when. The Ankle Skinny is the perfect skinny jean for wearing with OTK boots. They have just the right amount of stretch and hold their shape at the bum and knees. I love these jeans and they are 40% right now.
5. Mother The Pixel Ankle Skinny
I picked these up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Mother Denim has been around since 2010 but reached mainstream popularity when Meghan Markle was photographed in several pairs during her courtship with Prince Harry. I admit I gave them a try as a result. Who doesn’t want to dress like a princess? I am a fan because most of their denim is super soft and light, perfect for warm climates. However, the Pixel Ankle Skinny is a thicker black denim with a button front. The jeans have the right amount of stretch to hold the buttons tightly closed. I will be wearing these jeans all winter.
6. Madewell Mid Rise Skinny Jeans
Madewell makes incredible denim for the price. Even at full price, they are worth every penny. My favorite pair are currently on sale at Nordstrom for under $90. I have the Pendale Wash. The first one below.
7. AG Ex-Boyfriend Relaxed Jeans
I know, another pair of AG’s. I’ve said it before, AG consistently make the most flattering and comfortable jeans out there. I am a super-fan. I wear these jeans all summer long. They are cropped and relaxed and oh! so! comfortable! I size up for a slouchy look. Slouchy jeans + tee = my easy summer uniform. Alas, only the darkest wash is on sale. I have the dark wash and it is still light enough for summer.
8. AG The Angel Bootcut
I’m so glad bootcut denim is back. It really is the perfect alternative to skinny jeans. I have these jeans and love them. There are only a few sizes left at Shopbop but they are on sale for $150 plus the Buy More, Save More discount. Snap them up if they have your size. Bloomingdale’s has all sizes available and is offering up to 25% off when you spend $400 or more.
9. rag & bone Dre Raw Hem Slim Boyfriend
Did you think I would make it through a full denim post without including my beloved Dre’s? I honestly have so many pairs of these jeans. I buy them in every wash and every style. They just fit right. My BFF who is petite and more of an hourglass figure (her definition, not mine) also loves these jeans. We rarely wear the same jeans so this is a testament to how universally flattering they are. I love the slightly slimmer silhouette of the slim boyfriend Dre’s.
10. RE/DONE 90’s Loose Straight Jeans
I bought these jeans in the spring. 90’s jeans are still going strong this fall. With the return of 90’s jeans, denim has been freed. You are welcome to wear whatever style and cut that you love from hi-rise mom jean – low rise flares. Pick the styles that work for you and rock them. These look especially good with a bulky half-tucked sweater and pointy-toe booties. Give it a try.

My 80’s girl spirit finds something so appealing about these retro styles. Am I crazy? Or maybe they are meant more for teenagers? I used to adhere to the “if you wore it the first time around, you don’t wear it again” rule but I’ve been around for a while now so that might leave me nothing to wear. ? Your thoughts?
